The Wolseley Oxford Taxi was the first new taxi cab to be launched on the British market after the end of the Second World War and was produced in Ward End, Birmingham.

Originally sold to works fire services and small airfields, many fire engines were modified by their owners. With this in mind, we tried to put many original features back, i.e., the bell, lights and paint colour.

This was originally designed as a ski boat, a 4 seater mainly for in-shore waters. Only 10-12 are known to exist in the World. Its hull is made from fibreglass with teak decks. It is powered by a 1600cc MGA unit with a Borg Warner gearbox. Its price when new was approximately £650, expensive in 1958.

Classless and unique, the Mini Cooper was one of the most revolutionary cars ever produced in Britain. As a result of this, the Mini now has a cult following.

The J40 and Pathfinder were both built by disabled ex coalminers at Bargeod in South Wales from 1948. The J40 continued production up to the 1970s, but unfortunately the Pathfinder was only produced for one year because of the complicated build.

The Barnard Formula Six was built in 1967 in Sittingbourne, Kent. It has a sheet steel chassis and fibreglass body. The engines varied in size from 75cc to 170cc, lawnmower derived. They were first launched at the racing car show at Olympia, but were unfortunately not a success as they were too expensive for the market at which they were aimed.

The classic was a quality model by Ford in its time. It was styled under Colin Neale in 1956, refining a scaled down Galaxy 500 from the waist down, topped with a Lincoln Continental roofline.

This was rescued from a breaker’s yard by its owner. It was used in the summer months only due to having no roof. It therefore makes for an excellent beach car for those sunny days.

Over the years this vehicle had been resprayed a number of times and was therefore showing its age. So wed ecided to start afresh...

The Series IIA is considered by many as the most hardy series model that was constructed. It is also the type of classic Land Rover that features strongly in the general public’s perception of the Land Rover.

This was brought to us by the owner for link arm rubber replacement on all shock absorbers, due to its MOT failure. All mechanical and body work repairs are on-going projects while the vehicle is being used and showed.

For most people the letters MG mean quite simply a sports car. Since MG first appeared the company have built Britain’s most successful and best loved sports cars. Here is such an example that was restored for a client.

This was in storage for many years by the owner. We were instructed to check it over and do any necessary repairs so it could be presented for MOT, ie, free the clutch, the brake system, lights etc.

Levis 1936 B Special 250cc

The Levis 1936 B Special 250cc was manufactured by Butterfields in Stetchford, Birmingham. They started in 1911 and ceased in the 1940s.
